Nkate Abom

Use one and a half Ghanaian smoked fish if desired. I couldn't find it locally so I opted for smoked mackerel instead.

Nkate Abom

A:
55g beef, cubed
Ghanaian Favourite Dishes
55g smoked mackerel, diced
2 small onions, chopped
1 tomato, chopped

B:
325ml water
100g groundnuts, grind into a paste
2 okro (okra)
2 garden eggs (I used 2 small brinjals)

1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper

2 small hard-boiled eggs, shelled


  • Saute ingredients A in hot oil.
  • Stir in ingredients B and cook for 10 mins.
  • Thermal cook for 1 hour
  • Toss in the hard-boiled eggs and serve.
