Arepas

Corn / Maiz (Native Foods of Latin America / Alimentos Indigenas De Latino America) (Spanish Edition)These arepas were made primarily for tomorrow's dinner recipe. But one went down the hatch strictly for 'testing' purposes only.


Arepas

110g yellow corn kernels, coarsely ground
3 tbsp yellow cornmeal
45g grated mozzarella
3 tbsp sugar
3/4 tsp milk
Salt to taste

  • Mix everything with a mixer.
  • Shape balls and flatten into 1/2 inch disks.
  • Stack on a baking tray, separating each with parchment.
  • Chill for 20 mins.
  • Pan fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
